In order to recognize the vital role of the CBCC and other multicultural and ethnic business associations in Ontario's economy, Ontario Ministry of Small Business and Entrepreneurship held a reception in their honour at the Legislative Dining Room of Queen's Park on May 30, 2007. In his speech at the reception, Mr. Harinder Takhar Minister of Small Business and Entrepreneurship praised these multicultural business associations for their contributions to the Ontario's economy. The CBCC was the only Mandarin-speaking business association invited to the event to be honoured.
