| CBCC Launches China Trade Canada
|
China Trade Canada (CTC) was launched by the CBCC in August 2008 to facilitate Canada-China trade by building trust between Chinese and other business cultures. The CTC accomplishes its mission through:
1. Promoting ethical business practice;
2. Establishing and administering the CTC registration and license system;
3. Establishing and maintaining a trade dispute resolution program;
4. Online listing of all businesses that have accepted CTC¡¯s Principles of Business Ethics and made a commitment to a good faith effort to resolve any trade complaints; and
5. Other programs and services that may help build trust, overcome barriers, and facilitate trade between Chinese and other cultures.
Each of the Companies listed by the CTC has registered with the CTC; that means each of them has:
1) sent the CTC a copy of at least one document (in taxation or in commercial regulation) of its business registration with the government authorities in the jurisdiction where it is operating;
2) accepted CTC's Principles of Business Ethics; and
3) made a commitment to a good faith effort to resolve any trade complaints through CTC's dispute resolution program.
